Honestly, really surprised when I opened the case. I had a “Wouaou effect”. The finishes of the case are really very beautiful with the brushed edges of the case and the lugs separated by this fine polished chamfer which discreetly catches the light.
The ceramic of the bezel has nothing flashy and is very pleasant to use with just enough firm clicks and no play.
As far as I am concerned, the dimensions are perfect, the watch suiting impeccably on my wrist of 17.5-18 cm.
The “Matte Grey” dial is also very well finished and designed. Each zone being clearly defined: slightly off-white for the minutes and seconds, black for the GMT and this very pretty matte gray for the local time. As for the date window, it fits very well at 6 o’clock and does not unbalance or break the whole harmony.
The needles have the right length: their ends “lick” the area of the information that interests you. Their polished finish absorbs the light well, making it easier to read. A special mention for the second hand: it is not a blue paint but a true heat treatment.
The rice pearl bracelet with its folding clasp is beyond what one would expect in this price range. In addition, they are very comfortable, especially with this micro-adjustment by integrated push button, this avoiding the use of a Bergeon and allowing you to change the setting whenever you want. As for me, I swapped it for the San Martin BD0013 Dark Brown leather strap with a superb pin buckle.
The watch is then more casual. It is also a watch that you can really wear on many occasions, whether in dress, at work or for the weekend casually.
As for the movement, after 48 hours of wear, I only noticed a drift of +1s. This suggests that the movements undergo a final adjustment internally. This is to their credit and is a guarantee of quality. For your information, I also bought the Pilot SN030-G and the latter is also in the same level of precision with its NH35.
In conclusion, a superb watch that I do not regret having bought and which will likely be on my wrist often!
